Where does our Cacao come from? We work with a farmer based in Idukki district who harvests cacao buds manually and grows them without using any chemicals.
How is our Cacao powder made? After the cacao beans are collected, they are cleaned and dried. Then cacao butter is removed and the residue is grinded into raw cacao powder at low temperatures.
Great source for antioxidants: Cacao is a great source of natural antioxidants. It has 30 times the antioxidants of blueberries and 4 times that of goji berries!
Natural source of iron: Cacao is known as one of the rare plant based sources of iron. Every serving of 1 tablespoon contains 15% of daily recommended iron requirements of the body.
Naturally mood lifter: Cacao is a natural mood uplifter. If relaxes the brain and gives the body a happy feeling.
How is it different from Cocoa? Cacao powder is grinded at low temperatures and is non-alkalized. However cocoa powder is made at higher temperatures and generally treated with alkalized solutions to enhance taste and fragrance.
Versatile uses: Cacao powder can be used in baking cakes or breads. You can also use it in your shakes, smoothies, cold coffee, hot chocolate or desserts. It’ll do it’s magic to any recipe that you add it to!
